Great pics Stuart.

You snapped one of me early on, on that bridleway before the first section of forest. Any chance of a copy, please?

Great photos Paul — and good to bump into you on the way round. It's been a while since you handed over the Peregrine in a service station car park!

Here's some photos from the SWRC three:
https://flic.kr/s/aHsk4H33qw *

* Warning this gallery contains images that dedicated outdoor sleepers and eaters may find offensive!

I can explain:
We just made it to the Rhil Goch Inn at 21:00 for dinner (as per the plan).
A well meaning local offered us a caravan to sleep in (not in the plan).
We accepted and slept for 8hrs (not in the plan).
We faffed allot and had a large breakfast (not in the plan).

This delay and a stop for dinner at the Red Lion pub in Dinas Mawddwy meant that we finished at 23:10 on Sunday night.

Well done to all who rode without caravan sleeps or pub food.

It was an "interesting" weekend. Being a foreigner I though a "Tussock" was some kind of Scottish tea biscuit.
I stand corrected, I stand knee deep in muddy water...

@ thesloth — great photos! Strange to see myself still smiling in a couple of them. It must have been before Barmouth. Do you mind if I use a couple when I write this up for the blog? Thank you!

Great photos Thesloth. Clearly you took a different approach to the ,straight through without sleep, and why not.

It's "good" to see what some of those hike-a-bike sections look like in day light. :|

Here are some more shots from another SWRC rider.

Yes I was quite enjoying the event. The sun was out and I was feeling fit. Then just before Machynlleth I had a puncture. I'm running tubes these days as I know I can always repair but might go back to tubeless after this event. I think I took 20 minutes to fix and I think 10-15 riders passed me.
Then on leaving town I had another thorn puncture. This time thorn was 5cm long so pulled that out and spent another 20 minutes fixing and repairing the other tube. This didn't work as I had picked up another thorn so had to do another repair. After this it was a time for a coffee so I headed back into town for a pick me up. I think I lost about 90 minutes by then so it was a case of catching my team mates which took the rest of the afternoon.
It turned out for the best because we were suppose to be riding together.
But as you know that does increase the faff time. We made the pub at 100km by 9pm and because the forecast for Sunday was sunny we took advantage and made a weekend of it and so I went from first to lantern rouge. We arrived back to the last car in the carpark at 11pm.
I felt fit but the push across the bog on Saturday evening was tough. But other times the riding was good and there were many great views, often missed in photos.

@the sloth... Thanks for the pictures.

If anyone is interested, I have written a very short blog post about my experience of BB200.
