The weekend is coming and it's time for a bath.

So then, it's the last bank holiday weekend of the year, weather looks a bit mixed and it's starting to feel much colder of an evening ... what's everyone got planned? Owt exciting?

Absolutely nothing! 12 hours after recovering from the heatstroke i had four weeks ago I came down with a viral infection which lasted three weeks then severly bruised my ribs loading a horse into a horsebox then came down with a chest infection so am now on antibiotics. Only gentle riding for now on doctors orders. Still, could be worse  .

My Hunka XL should be in the post.
I'm on the count down for a grading in Jiu Jitsu.
And my dislocated pinkie is healing fast.
I've got nearly 170hrs worth of holidays still to take.

I'm walking the Norfolk Coastal path for the first time in about 15 years.
I'm just going to see how far I can get in 24 hours, with a bivi half way, I'll have to first timers with me.

Weather permitting I'll be trying out a new route for me, south of Trawsfynydd. It should tick the box for my 8/8 bivvy a month. And I might do a vid aswell, and try out the cable cam

Oooooh ... completely forgot its the ManChild's 11th birthday tomorrow and he will finally get his new BMX bicycle like object. Most of tomorrow will be spent at our local BMX track or a jump spot. In anticipation Ive been getting all nostalgic for Tuff wheels, fluted seatposts and Goldstem goosenecks and feel another project coming on - 1980s BMX revival about to happen in South Bucks.

Driving back from Scotland holidays
Done some riding but it's not gone to plan with one thing and another.
Plenty 1day rides, not enough multi-days
Just how it goes I suppose

As my old schools reports used to say
Must try harder

I've only got Sunday night to go out and play but I think it'll be a mini road tour to and from a campsite rather than 'proper' bikepacking. It'll be my first camping trip since last summer.

I had planned to get out for my first bivi in months this weekend (it's not a bank holiday here but I'm self-employed so I'll just ring in sick) but.....

At the moment I'm living in a tiny hospital room with my 3 year old who's got some weird lump on her neck and so she, and therefore me (currently the only non-breastfeeding parent), are bedridden for the next few days.

Hoping to be home tomorrow but we'll have to see what the lump has to say about my bivi plans - bugger!

(Note: we've been assured that it's nothing serious which is why I'm so flippant about my tiny child being hospitalised)
