BB200 in Outdoor Fitness magazine

Post by slowupslowdown-under »

Any idea of when the article will appear?

I have a frame ready to put a pic of me either:

a) racing off at the start with my helmet undone (only to have to stop 20m in to do up); or
b) blowing out my a** up Carnau; or
c) laughing at the staged 'camping out' point

I did spot that there's an article in the latest issue about Matt Page and his record setting end to end Wales ride.

I'm informed that it's penciled in for the May issue. I assume that in magazine land that means the issue that comes out in April.

Does the article go so far as saying whether it was a proper self-supported ride, or did have options to meet a vehicle at various points on the route?

Pretty sure he did it self supported in one hit on a load of energy gels. I read it a couple of weeks ago and passed it on to a mate so can't check for definite.

Really like the magazine though. Bit different to the usual run of the mill stuff.

Bought the May issue yesterday and it isn't in there! Apparently, it's in the June "Adventure Special".

I can confirm (as of half an hour ago) that it'll be in the issue coming out on May 26th ... I'm told it looks right good which I assume means there's no pictures of me

Well the photo from the 90's on the cover won't help sell this months issues will it?

In all honesty I don't think the contorted rider in an over the top pose looks any worse / different than the cover shot of any mainstream mag on offer in Smiths.

If he were aboard this weeks, in fashion full suss All Mountain / Enduro / All Enduro bicycle rather than a 'dale no one would think twice ... although he could do with a POC helmet, knee pads and maybe some type of unreliable dropper seatpost just to be 100% sure.

Read the article in WHSmith today (there wasn't a lot else that interested me in the magazine to buy it).
Thought it was well written and showed the event in a positive light. Well worth a read.
Tempted to give the BB200 a crack this year now....

I'm not sure that's a defining characteristic anymore? #Eurovision
