Snow - anyone else?

Anyone else got snow this morning? I assume there's been some in Scotland for a while but anyone that bit lower ... I'm hoping this isn't the start of Winter proper because it'll be a long one if it is.

Very harsh frost here this morning and have seen cars with snow on their roofs.

Snowing this morning for a while but has stopped now  I have a new rear hub on the Pugs so am hoping for a good winter coverage... About 2inch here in the garden but more forecast for the next few days.

Nothing down here in the south.

Gari, I'll be bugging you for weather reports soon as I'm looking at heading up in the next couple of weeks. Walking though. Bus to the ski centre and then The Chameleon Gap and Lairig Ghru to the Corrour Bothy for a couple of days. Could christen my new ice axe!

There was a wee bit of snow left on the mountains and it's seen another wee dusting. Finally had some at lower levels today though.

Saw a few bits up near Parsely Hay, barelt enough for a snowball though.

Stunning day in the White Peak, sun out and gorgeous views. Pity my legs felt so bad.

Bit more here at the moment, falling pretty steady with a couple of inches down already. Still waiting the last few bits for the Pugs

We've (unsurprisingly) got some today (and have had for the last two weeks higher up).

Am hoping to take the fat-bike out for it's first snowy outing this afternoon - YIPEE!!!

Drove the width of England and the length of Wales over the las few days and I saw a fair amount of snow in mid Wales.
None now I am back home in Norfolk, it's not even that cold.

Thinking of heading North from Blair Atholl through Minigaig at the weekend. Anyone up that way tell me if this is foolish or not?

I''ve been through before in the summer so know the way, forecast is for minimal wind, although it looks chilly!

I can give you an Aviemore-based update nearer the weekend if it helps.

It was snowing heavily in hathersage last night and the hill up from the fox house was only just passable when we were coming home.

Mind you my car is very poor in the snow...

Scotroutes - thanks! Haven't read anything from him in ages, good to see he's still out on the bike.

He's pretty much planned the same route as me. Would be interesting to see quite how far he got, I've got decent winter gear but it's never too much fun if you're wet.

Aviemore Forecast tomorrow would be appreciated!

Ta.

I rode out up through ringinglow (pretty windy) and on the road under stanage. I had to pedal harder going down the hill as the wind was savage. Did a loop of the bottom res and then went to the lady bower inn. Gutted to find that they'd not lit their fire!

Ps dave did I see you car parked in the 'usual' lay by on Tuesday? I ride past there on the 'scenic route' home.

Could have been. Thought I was later on though. It was another short pathetic effort though

It's almost time to 'sub standard, or get off the pot' though :-)

Scotroutes, how are things looking today?

Weather forecast looks ok, cold - but low winds and low likelihood of rain/snow. Do you know how high the snowline is around Minigaig, Glen Feshie, Glen Tilt?

Ta,
Stu.

Hi u02sgb, the snowline sits around 600-650 on the Cairngorm so should be much the same on the Minigaig.
Very still, around 0deg and slightly overcast as I look out the window @10.45.
