I see that one of the other UK lads, Dan Green has finished. Top ride.
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Back further down the trail Chris Ellison has fought his way in front of the broom waggon

Stuck on the road to pie town. Peanut butter mud.

Pie Town was closed when I got there. I kipped in the campground then next morning rode past the Toaster House that I didn't spot the previous evening. I'll have to go back and do it properly.

Looks like Steve made it to the pies - good going buddy. Lots of closely spaced dots on the approach though...

Steve's up early for a push on to Silver City. I have no idea what the route on this re-route section is like and whether he is still fighting the mud. Hopefully onto some pavement soon for a bit of respite.

Looks like he's approaching the top of the last big climb, with a lengthy descent to follow. If he catches Ana Jager he'll be in 12th place :-bd

Sat in Glen wood with Ana and Colin. I'm happy for youth to take priority, however I do want to stay ahead of those singlespeeders behind.......

New mech hanger this morning as the mud got me again. At least I had a dry night stopping early, unlike Ana and Colin

Just go straight to McDonalds and onto the border. Don’t do what I did and nearly get arrested by cops with guns for procuring a lady of the night.
