TBH, I've very little noticeable symptoms and only tested because my Daughter has had it. My Wife has had much more exposure to my Daughter and is testing negative even though she feels terrible. It's a weird one for sure. Basically, I've been banished to the bedroom on my own since Thursday and left to my own devices. Can't say it is too bad by any means. I'm making the most of a rest  . Don't tell the Wife that though. I did have to cancel my 1st gig in years, my first bikepacking night out this year and is threatening a week off. I'm pretty sure I'll be putting weight on by the time I weigh myself next week. No exercise and still eating well...maybe a little too well.

6'2", 56 yrs (height and age for context, cos why not?)
01/01 89Kg
15/03 86.6Kg
21/03 85.6kg
11/04 84.8kg

Slowly slowly. Not sure I'm gonna reach that 82kg target tho, as I'm slowly building muscle which weighs more than the chub.
Might have to reassess once the weight starts creeping up or I manage to develop an actual visible six-pack.

don't forget that more muscle mass will burn more fat effectively after exercise.... that's what I tell myself..
also low intensity Eg steady walking or cycling is supposed to engage the burning fat metabolism , where high intensity exercise burns muscular stored energy Eg glycogen.. so I read.
I hope you think you know, what I might of exactly meant.

You just need to add ‘by preference’ to the end of that statement. Aerobic exercise burns fat by preference to glycogen but does use both and vice versa. Additionally as your body can only store glycogen for an hours worth of use all exercise longer than that will be looking to utilise body fat for energy.
If you are going through hell, keep going.

Cheers, mate, but I had it very easy and very little issues. I did weigh-in yesterday at 74kg, so put more on. No surprise there though. No exercise all week until a short run today. Planning to take it easy, so expecting next week to be about the same. Trying to avoid any longer term issues (which I'd say I'll avoid) as planning some nice trips.

Went for a ride today Dan. Did about 6 climbs (and others) of Huddersfildd that hit 15 to 20%... about 30 miles total. Am sure I went out weighing around 85kg but arrived back and weighed self to see 83.1kg :-bd

Still trying but the biggest challenge is still working from home and trying to get exercise in and avoid bread amd other rubbish (too easy to just make a sandwich or toast)
Started doing a small run in the morning with the dog to replace my old bike commute. Have done a few big rides so i think i am slowly getting fitter again

I've cut down on bread & potatoes and rice. I'll take spuds over rice bread last. :-bd But my wife still served portions like i'm still in my 20's.. (... and I've got to be grateful etc...). :d

11-03-22 - 122kg
01-04-22 - 123.5kg
29-04-22 - 122.1kg

Meh. :???:

I've been very much not playing at this game for April.

Still not drinking (other than a few for a birthday or similar) and I'm still getting out and exercising plenty (riding and running) as well as things generally improving post-hernia op and back issues etc...

But I haven't been able to get in top of the whole 'eating too much crap' element.

So I gave myself a break for April and stopped beating myself up about it.

Hasn't helped anything other than I've not felt extra crap about not eating properly on top of a load of family/life nonsense that's been a bit sh1t.

Onwards and upwards etc...
