Stumbled across this and thought it might appeal to some(one). 85 mile circular through the slate quarrying landscape of north Wales. You can buy the gpx file for £10 ... yes, I know people will go 'ten quid for a gpx file FFS!!!' but upon completion in how ever long you like, you will also receive a nice looking A5 map. By the time that's drawn, produced and posted to you, a tenner seems quite reasonable.
Anyway, if a tenner seems fair or you just want a look: https://www.wheelgoodtimes.com/post/sno ... XHKwPZNnjM

Fair enough. Covers most points of interest, and they seem to know their stuff.

Its a great route that. I've not ridden it as the loop but have rode 99% of it over the years. Definitely worth doing as the views and history of the old workings are fantastic

Does look good. The only bit I know well is around Dinorwig, proper post-industrial weirdness. I love the place! The Seamstress and Looning the tube are an essential start to any aspiring slate-heads climbing career.
If anyone needs accommodation and parking on the route, one option is the WMC (Wellingborough Mountaineering Club) cottage in Bethesda. All essential facilities for 8 people for (I think) £100 a night. Can be booked through the BMC's club huts page or do a search.
