9g 6" Ti V pegs in all circumstances - usually 8 if tarp and 7 if Gatewood. Keeps packing simple. Oh and 6 x 6g 4" carbon Stu pegs for bug net if taken.

Not really an arsenal more a sort of quiver  .

4 x 8" Easton golds and 2 x 6" ti shepherd hooks usually

I find the Eastons hold well in the type of ground I camp on

Eight MSR Groundhog copies that came with a Lanshan tent a while back. The tent went but the stakes stayed. They're really tough so no problem in hard ground and the shape holds well in loose stuff.

5 - 8inch Ground hogs + 3 - 8 inch Carbon fibre + 3 Ti shepherd hooked stakes just incase I can’t get one of the other stakes into the ground
These are for the Yama mountain gear Swiftline 2 and the Cirriform 1 shelters.

I have nine of these and have managed to bend three of them. So quite interested in this thread, as I was thinking of getting a few more...

I chop and change depending on the conditions I expect to encounter. It's usually a combination of Alpkit ti V pegs and ti shepherd's hooks with the ratio being dictated by anticipated windstrength and ground softness.

Sounds like I've just been lucky then. I tend to try to find a flat rock to knock them in if the ground is hard. I'm very good at bending stakes if I try to press them in with my foot.

A right old (emphasis on the old!) selection.

Aluminium shepherd's hooks
MSR groundhogs (or similar)
v-pegs
Bearbones carbon fibre

Does depend on what I'm pitching and ground conditions.

Yeah, I can't always find a large rock, so I've been using my foot, which is the problem...
