Some really nice set ups there - a lot of different thinking. I like the rear racks too. Michael Travers bike and set up looks brilliant, though that rear trunk bag looks a bit "London commuter". But whatever works. Cheers Shaf for the post.

John Kelley appears to be travelling light - TLS indeed.

RE: Tailfins, I'm kind of wondering why given that those with them fitted only appear to have them very lightly loaded. In that case, surely a seatpack is less potential trouble?

Nice to see that Josh Ibbett has been taking home styling cues from Shaf.

Agreed they are not taking loads so why have they bothered with a rack.

Missus is finally forcing some decoration and a fireplace not dissimilar to this has been added. Maybe if she sees sense and doesn't get that same flowery wallpaper this time

Stability?

Seatpacks seem to be quite heavy these days for the more stable ones. Tailfin isnt that much heavier.

Dunno, does a well packed / designed seatpack really move around that much and in reality ... if it does, do we honestly notice?

Dunno either. I do see a lot of waggly ones though. Might just be caused by a happy rider, like a dog though

I was thinking about this in the Gower, I think mine sways about but can't say I've noticed it when riding or that it affected the handling of the bike.

Mine has swayed a bit and rubbed on the seatpost collar and put a hole in the bag. Probably only cos I am a short-arse though.
