Bombers are back.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

I see CRC are selling Bombers again - it would appear that some may be old stock (26", 1 1/8 etc) but others are a newly designed fork. I got quite excited until I saw the prices.

Seems a bit of an odd thing to do. Are there really that many people doing 'retro build's wishing to buy a new fork? I've got a pair of Mark 2 Z1's if anyone is interested, in similar nick to K1100's
Wonder if they are open damping or a stupid cartridge.....

I imagine these are from a container full of NOS that has surfaced from the depths of a warehouse somewhere.

Yeah, I'm assuming that the 26" stuff is NOS but there's a few there that look like entirely new forks ... boost, tapered etc.

Ah. From the vague description I thought they were new models.....
The Z5's were a dirt jumper fork with chromo stanchions - they weighed an absolute ton but were nigh on indestructible. I note these have the one year only QR20 drop outs :???: The Z3's and 4's were budget variants of the Z1's. Oh for the good old days when you didn't have to service your forks every other ride.
