The Monday after gritfest I was in a meeting at work, everyone asked how everyone's weekend was, someone's husband had seen my pictures online, asked about it, so i bored them stiff for a few minutes with my ravings of how brilliant it was, etc..
Bit later that morning, guy from work who's in a wheelchair messages me, we have a chat, he tells me that he's got a recumbent bike, would like to get (back) into cycling and just getting a bit fitter generally, but finds it hard to get up his Powys hills on his bike...
I half wonder whether surely there must be an answer to that, but think no more of it, life goes on....
Today on instagram I come across this really cool one, username is exactly this, "handbikepacking", looks amazing!!
Have any of you heard about this?
So I send the link to the guy at work, hey look what I found, remember that chat we had the other day?
A few hours later we're on whatsapp with me showing him pictures of his dad getting the bike out of the garage and starting to put it back together...
Watch this space..... (to be continued, I hope....)

Have a search on-line for Mel Nicholls. Prolific hand-biker and very nice she is too. Could go under Dolly2racer on social networks.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Have a look for Karen Darke. Totally inspiring.
This is a good podcast about bikpacking and handbiking.
