looking to fit a good front mudguard to my fargo. got a pair of mudhuggers.
will the front be ok zip tied on a carbon fork ?
or should i use some kind of tape under zip ties ?

I use chopped up inner tube to protect my carbon fork from wear from straps.
There are theories at the bottom of my jargon.

bingo, we have a winner.
if i cut a small tube in rings, i can take the wheel out and undo the disc caliper and slide the rings up the fork leg to the correct spot.
bloody perfect mate.

I thought this, and swiftly discovered that the tube didn't stretch as much as I expected. I then cut up a thicker tube, and managed one fork leg, but getting a complete ring over the brake posts proved to be a sticking point too. Prepare for swearing...if i cut a small tube...

warm the tube first in warm water to get mre stretch?
