BB entry - technical issues

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Ironically, Dee's unable to put the entry link up as the server can't cope with the volume of traffic ... hopefully sorted very shortly or as soon as some folk give up :-bd

I'm currently imagining a poor server gently smoking...

Visit the shop and it'll be under 'events' ... that too will be slow though.

It’s sloooow but works. Press the buttons once and breathe deeply.
I got as far as food choice twice but third third time worked.
I’m in.

Took refreshing the checkout page four times, before the button click would take me to PayPal... I now have a PayPal receipt, and am utterly shitting myself already. What have I done... 🙈

Very slow, but it works eventually. Shame, would have been a good excuse. Now I have to ride (/push) the damn thing!

Site's looking slick BTW :-bd

In the same way a 12 hour ride prompted Stu to toughen up the route, The Management were obviously worried that it might now be too easy to enter and have toughened up the entry process. Bravo!

I feel your pain Stu! I had big issues with an event entry a few years ago and it caused no end of stress at the time.

I've entered anyway, so hopefully it is getting better.
300km for me.

Maybe you should do what Pat used to do for MMayhem. Entries open at 0.00 midnight but entries hand-delivered to his house took priority. That was always a long but cheery night at the Adams household
