An impressive ride :-bd

Seems mad there’s 6 stages to go on the tour too and he’s resting/drinking beer having finished

Oh man, I'd be eating / drinking everything in sight.

Do you think he should ride back to meet the peleton, then finish with them? (Maybe have a shower first and maybe a croissant)

It would be cool, but I imagine there's all sorts of rules that would stop it, not least because he could affect the sprint at the end of the day.

That reminds me: I've seen a couple of references to him being drug-tested by WADA along the way... anyone know what the craic is with that? He's not actually competing in the Tour, or anything else AFAICS. Is it just to silence the inevitable critics, or is it just routine testing that any pro team member would need to do, wherever they were?

Once you are registered with WADA then you can be tested anytime, in or out of competition, so you have to let them know you whereabouts every day. Just routine for a pro athlete.

The WADA aspect is why he had to have a booked campsite every night - so they could find him and test him at their whim.

That alone is what put me off a career as a pro cyclist

...y'know, that and the adherence to a strict diet and training regime

Since last Thursday my maim occupation is riding my bike, so I guess I’m a pro cyclist.

Now, where do I get my drugs? And where do I register for my drug tests?

I find the Whoop stuff interesting, but I can't help feeling you'd need a decent coach to help you actually do anything with it.
