Gian. Yes I'd say it's the YKK no 10 (of that's the strongest one they do) as it's the same that I upgraded my Wildcat with. Let me know if you need measurements but basically them teeth are massive and it's the easiestsliding zipper you could probably experience

I think Revelate is going that way too (or already have done).

John and Shaf, any chance you know what zipper your bags have? Looks like a regular YKK size 10...?

I need to make a couple of framebags and one will see everyday use (loads of zipping :-)). Up till know I went with YKK Aquaguard size 5, but larger must hold longer and I don't really need a 'waterproof' one.

Any tipps would be muchly appreciated.

Cheers
I've no idea, but I'll look tonight.

My two frame bags are Merit Gear but with roll topped openings which I prefer

That was what I was thinking for the everyday bike frame bag to make it last longer, but I believe a zipper is faster and I also (rarely) want access when riding. I guess that doesn't work as well with a rolltop..?

go for a moulded teeth, anything no. 7 or above will be great. no. 10 have vicious teeth!
Have you considered a roll top bag err you have(. Great zas they are easier to you pack, like at each end of day,. A faff if you need to access it mid ride.
I made one for Java time I d be interested to find out how he is getting along...

note moulded teeth will chew through caught gear, a chain zipper will temporarily jam...
