Interesting. Given when that's supposed to be set, I'd have assumed the whole thing would've been filmed in Morocco...

I'd like to think they left the shelters there! I don't follow Star Wars, but they'd make a good camp spot!

Is 3.5 days too much to ask to:
*Drive 5 hours there the evening before
*Ride two big-ish days
*Ride one smaller day
*Drive 5 hours home after the smaller day
*Go to work the next day...

That's how the majority of folk will handle it. I guess it depends on how much decent sleep you get when bivvying out.

Well I missed out a vital detail... I meant to add, I'm only considering the outer loop....

Can't comment on the drive to and from but I'd say the riding part should be fine based on my experience a couple of weeks ago. I found most of the climbs were either short enough or gentle enough to ride comfortably, the only exception was the climb up to the Bealach Dearg (just before you drop down towards Braemar). It goes up quite high (around 750m IIRC) and I struggled with it and ended up walking some of it. I think in part this might have been due to a post lunch slump though as I bought and ate loads of food in Tomintoul and I had a bit of a mental low point going up that climb. The bit at the top of Glen Tilt also involves a bit of HAB unless you're brave and have Danny Macaskill like bike handling skills.
FWIW, I planned on doing three roughly equal days but ended up doing 45 miles on day one (Blair Atholl to Rothiemurchus) and then finishing it on day two. Day two was a long day though.

PS, I parked near Atholl Country Museum/Blair Atholl Visitor Information Centre car park with no issues.

What is the temperature at night there at the min? Mountain forecast suggests 8° minimum but met office suggest 4°, thanks.

Evening,
I'm hoping to do the Loop Jubilee weekend, weather permitting. Any new changes or recent challenges to the route, I should be aware of?
Also I'll be arriving in the evening after a long drive, can anyone recommend a good chippy in Blair Atholl?

Thanks in advance.

I think you might be over estimating the size of Blair Atholl! There's but one chippy. From memory it's ok, the food at the pub is good though.

Pitlochry, just before BA has more food options, including a 'posh' chippy.
