People didn't like the Coffin Road or the Postman's Path but I'd take them over the Ledmore any day.

At least with them you know when you'll be waking and when you'll be riding. On the Ledmore it looks like you can ride, you get on the bike and 20m later you're off again

That's a fair description. Good to see the pictures of her and the boys earlier.

I thought someone had put square wheels on my bike when I wasn't looking!

Coffin Road was basically push then ride. The Postman's Path was brilliant, even for someone as crap as me on a bike it was 90% rideable. One of the highlights of the route.

Is something up with Rich Rothwell? He seems to have taken ages from the Devil's Staircase and his tracker is still pinging but there's no movement. He/it are at Victoria Bridge just before the last climb over to Bridge of Orchy.

For those between Ullapool and (at least) Strathcarron the sun has come out to play again and the wind is a welcoming Northerly at around 25kph. That should lift a few spirits and encourage tired legs to go just a little bit further.

Jim is riding an effective SS. His gears haven't worked since Ft. Agustus.

A bouncing dot for Rich. Chapeau, even if it's a DQ.

Does anyone know what happened to Mike Debarnardo? They were riding together for quite a while.

eh? I assume it's for something other than not following the route. His tracker history doesn't show anything untoward. Doesn't look like he stopped in the bothy at Carnmore unless the tracker misplaces his overnight location.

I think he said he was a dq himself for bothy usage?

We walked into Carnmore to go climbing, looked in the howff and promptly put the tent up

Mikes ankle is not usable. Spoke earlier. Not bad enough to go to A&E, but not possible to ride.

Steve Chapman has finished :-bd Really pleased for him to get round after the issues on his previous attempts (bikes stolen on the way there one time and then the conditions in 2019) and under 5 days

Sorry, yeah, I was referring to that.

I think Mike made it to 511 miles. That's a really tough break for him.

That is really tough luck. "Only" 44 miles doesn't sound far after 511 but it's a big ride even if you start fresh and with a fully functioning ankle. It's not like saddle sores where you can just tough it out. Gutted for him after getting that far

Looks like he's heading in the right direction now. Maybe just a navigation error? Maybe OBH hasn't opened yet so he went down to look for food in Rosehall instead?
