Front light fork mount.
Looking for a mount to fit my front light to my fork as no room on handlebars. I have rack mounts on the forks that can be used. Or are there better places like helmet mounts ?.
Re: Front light fork mount.
Handlebar extenders are another option. Creates more room on your bars. I prefer the ones with two arms as they're stronger. Can mount a GPS and a light to them if they're big enough

What light?
There are plenty of options but it depends what light you have.

For bling, the Paul Components Gino Light Mount. Or cheaper copy, Origin8 Stub Light Mount
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

If you use a garmin plenty of folks make a mount with a GoPro adapter on the bottom, fit a GoPro to 10mm adapter and you have a neat solution which is high enough to shine over front luggage.
My light is mounted is a similar fashion below my quadlock phone mount.

Ones a torch style I had fixed with a generic stretchy band mount and the others a meteor one with a slide on fitting. The mounts don't hold well around the flat Camino forks.lune ranger wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 11:10 amWhat light?

Maybe this at the fork:

Or this in your helmet

Sjs cycles are always good for stuff like this.

Re: Front light fork mount.
If you have M5 bosses on your fork leg a Paul Component 'Gino' mount can work well. Casts a tyre shadow off to one side but in use it's unlikely to be a problem or distraction. Axle mounting also, though a bit risky off-road.
FWIW I found there was a clear difference in the main light source going from my fork crown to my helmet. Mounted lower down fixed to the fork it picked out shadows along the trail a lot better and I found it a lot less tiring for my eyes after a few hours. Something about the helmet mounted light moving relative to where my bike was going bugged me after a while, plus the reduced shadow or depth perspective. You'd think it was mainly going were you're looking but it doesn't seem to work that way. Small helmet mounted lights as a back up are handy though.
+100 for SJS.lune ranger wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 4:56 pm Maybe this at the fork:
