I have a pair of ancient DHB bibs that I always wear on extended trips, as they’re so comfy and don’t give me saddle sores. The fit is relaxed (partly due to the age of the elastic!) but the key thing is that the pad is really thin, soft and flexible.
I’ve got some newer DHBs and some Rivelos and they’re OK but not as minimalist.
My faves won’t last much longer so is there anything out there I should look at as a replacement? Must have a super-thin but comfy pad.

For super thin pads take a look at tri shorts, or find a saddle you can ride in normal undies.

Interesting. Tri shorts are not something I’d ever considered. Any recommendations at the cheaper end of the spectrum?

I've found endura pro sl have a thin pad compared to my other bibs.

Most of the higher end ones seem to be going this way. This style pad is used in a number of them for example.

10mm should feel pretty thin compared the nappy style DHB stuff.

I tried this a while ago. 7 mesh foundation were the best I found.
