Long boring story not worth telling

I'm struggling to find a suitable bivi spot within walking or riding distance of Southend-on-Sea in Essex

Please can I ask you to grab a map and give me any Grid Refs or What 3 words spots of somewhere where you and 3 or 4 mates would do a leave no trace night out?

Have a little look around Hadleigh Castle/Farm, John. If you pitch late and leave early you should be OK

I would second the Hadleigh Downs - somewhere like https://www.streetmap.co.uk/map?x=57935 ... n=793&lm=0

You are never going to find anything resembling "remote" around here. Where you going from - to to give me more idea of other potential locations.

Whereabout in Shoeburyness would you say? It looks built up a bit and close to the MOD base

Not sure, John, I just know there's a lot of open land that way (and that the research place is over there) but can't be more specific, I'm afraid.

Hadleigh is a better bet - rode over that way once, when visiting relatives
