Amazon dropped off a cardboard box today containing a couple of rolls of bubble wrap. Can anyone guess what they used to pack out the box with? Can ya? Can ya?

There are few depths of BB grumpiness that I will not plumb ... Amazon seem to be getting it together lately with far less excess packaging. Gone seem the days of a huge box filled with poly beans to protect a book. But bubble wrap by its very nature doesn't need to be protecting. Was just saying.

I remember the time when we got a massive box with basically a stick in it (it was one of those extendible washing line holderuperers) and a vast amount of packaging to stop it bouncing around inside the box. It was't that long after that Amazon announced that they'd be a) using a much wider range of box sizes and b) using software to tell the picker which box size to use.
