Nerdspeak abbreviation for 'application' which annoyed the hell out of me when it originally started to go mainstream, and I was one of those nerds! Same for 'object oriented' instead of orientated. Far Eastern objects were they? No. End of mini-rant

Maybe it could give you a virtual bikepacking experience, or be somewhere to link to routes.

But quite honestly, being someone who wants to get away from screens, I can't think of a use for an app

This is going well ... I was just trying to use the correct lingo, I hadn't realised it was a bone of contention and don't worry Steve, I've no intentions. I simply wondered what people thought one might do.

VIrtual reality with AI

You point it at your bicycle and it moans about:-

- sagging luggage
- mug dangling
- bladders in frame bags
- matches and firewood attached
- warranty longevity (as an additional function it simulates smashing it to pieces)
- lauf forks
- gravel bikes (they are auto morphed into mountain bikes)

Create more work for you?

Can’t see anything it would do beyond what the website/forum does except be more hip.

If there's a button that could tell you how far the nearest spa is and whether or not it thinks you can get there on time before it shuts, that'd be handy

it would need to work when there is no phone signal. Maybe also send your location to loved ones (or random people who don't give a sub standard).

And for the trendier members it should tell you the correct packraft inflation pressure for the type of water.....

Tells you:
Where to go
What kind of bike to take
When to start
When to stop
When to eat
What to eat
Where to get it
Where to bivvy
When to wake up

Tells others:
Where you've gone
What bike you took
When you started
when you've stopped
What you've eaten
Where you are bivvied
When you woke up.
