Congrats Stu on 20,000 posts!

Post by RIP »

Congrats Stu on 20,000 posts!

Without those 20,000 posts This Place would just be a load of bike riders gently bickering about bikes and camping and stuff.

WITH those 20,000 posts This Place is ...... oh, err..... well, anyway :-bd

I've learned shedloads on Here from the BBB Family over 6 years and it's enhanced my life immeasurably.

All the best to you Stu, 20,000 thanks from me, and here's to 20,000(?) more posts.

Well thank you Reg. I had no idea that my head contained quite so much random bollox. The cuddly bear will also be 10 at the start of June, so another milestone there then.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Just shows how much time he spends on here

Maybe there should be a "how many words" people post - I think Reg and Shaf would be streets ahead on that one

Just been looking at the posts per day average, that tells a different story as well apart from Stu being double the rest. I think he's on a piece rate.

Rapidly approaching a quarter of a million posts in total as well which is some achievement.

Ah jaysus, it's like bloody STW on here now

Well done Stu, for a grumpy sod you've a lot to say about it :-bd This place is the only biking spot I can be bothered with, though I admit to occasionally giving up on the odd post of RIP's or Shaf's - there's only so much tautology, meandering whimsy and just frankly bonkersness I can take sometimes, though I'd not be without their input overall

Yes, I must admit that many of my posts are indeed aimed at the more discerning reader  .

I was sat in a bar in the west of Ireland, best part of 40 years ago. The only other customers were 2 old blokes sat nursing pints and arguing fiercely. I asked the barman what was the problem. He said "ignore them, they come in every day for a good row, today they're arguing about the number of hay bales in that field across the road. I think they look forward to shouting at one another, gives them something to do. Anyway the one on the left will have the last word, he's the village grave digger and will look forward to throwing the last sod of earth on his mate."
If only I'd seen the wider potential

^

My intentions are never to win merely to indulge in futile pub banter as above :-bd . Come to think of it, as a corollary of that I suppose you can never win either because I can never 'lose' .
