Coming to Scotland in Oct.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Even after reading this, I can't quite decide whether it's a race, an event, a festival or all three?

The Raiders Gravel Galloway will take place between October 7 and 10 and feature three stage races, as well as an event village, trade stands and live entertainment aimed at promoting local culture.
That makes it all three I think

Good on 'em, Galloway does have a lot of good riding and a fair few of the forest track routes are pretty nice so should be popular. Not my cup of tea given the expected hoards but its a very under rated area.

It is a great area, but having run events there, it's a long way from most places, so attracting numbers can be difficult. Good access from N Ireland and Scotland obviously, but a schlepp from most other places. Four days may be more of an attraction, but October.......?
