Please can we have a mass-bivvy on Mike From Bromsgrove's Bridleway? I'd like to collect all the swear words issued by the farmer when he turns up and finds 200 Boners kipped out.

We could each announce ourselves in turn to him, it would only take a couple of hours.. "Hi, I'm Stu from Pennant", "Hi, I'm..." etc etc.

It could be like a scene from Spartacus....
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Def up for a Scottish meet-up once things are possible again. Fingers crossed things are easier by May, so we don't miss the best of the midge-free weather again.

Aye, we all were at one point or another. I distinctly remember descending Shropshire’s finest hill headfirst, on my back. You can’t buy’ ‘fun’ like that. Happy days :-b

Count me it

You certainly can't.

It's all coming back now. I'm sure I remember standing(?) on that slope after my own first fall at an ice-bound dodgy corner, wondering what I was going to do next, then you slid past me at speed (headfirst on your back) in a sort of very relaxed reclined pose with a cheery wave and a smile, perhaps even a merry greeting was exchanged, closely followed by your bike. I remember it all being quite bemusing. As Taylor says a short while later I enjoyed an exact replay of your fall myself, but road-based, shredding my brand new Marmot jacket. Marvellous entertainment.

It must be something about the Mynd. Wasn't it the previous year when we ended up on the tops in that mental icy foggy snowstorm thing, when even the professional Welsh contingent had abandoned proceedings and retreated to the cafe? Total lunacy and quite hilarious. I keep all my BaM photos on this laptop so there's a folder for each month. I've just looked and curiously the folder for December 2018 is missing!

Memories like that makes a man, quite what, it remains to be seen, but it’s those memories which keep us(relatively) sane in these times.
Roll on the next BB event, I need it.

What a fantastic photo Stevo ^. Gawd I miss all that. Open-heart surgery on MaM's bike - "chainlink tool please, nurse" - Scottie, Si, MaM, Ben, meself, and you on camera?

Oh dear, mates, laffs, challenges, madness; I'm getting all emotional now, time to go and have another beer  .
