Exposure blaze mount?

Post by FLV »

Has anyone seen any alternative exposure blaze rear light mounts?

I've looked on exposures website, nothing there.

Basically I have a rear crud catcher thing which I switch between bikes and it clamps onto the seat post. One of these bikes has a dropper post. the standard mount then just about fits around the collar of the seat post.
This means when the seat post is lowered I just need to take a little care not to land on the light.

Before you all say it, I know I could use a mudhugger (if I chop it up to get round the rack mounts on the frame) bit that's not the question

Has anyone seen any alternative mounting methods for the exposure blaze?

If the mount is a rubber band jobbies like on a RedEye you can mount it on a seat stay. I’ve done that by folding a pad of inner tube which I then Gorilla taped in place - the mount then sits well enough to hold the light at a suitable angle.
If you are going through hell, keep going.

Exposure do a saddle-rail light mount, would that work?
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Saddle rail one looks like the c shape is for the trace, so 90 degrees out of position.

I think I'll knock up something on the seat stay as you say up there
