Bottom Bracket tool

Post by shutuplegs »

Another 'standards' question...

My SRAM DUB bottom bracket has seized up, finding a threaded replacement is easy enough but I now need to buy the corresponding tool since I have only the Hollowtech 2 one.

It is 46mm diameter and 24 notches, just as sanity check will this be the correct tool? From what I can find online BSA30 is the relevant standard here.

https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Unior-Bottom-B ... 104478.htm

Took me a while to realise a 12 tooth tool will fit a 24 notch bracket  ... it's Friday.

Thanks in advance.

I bought one of those for my DUB and it nearly ruined it, flexible and kept slipping.

In the end I bought one of these: https://www.merlincycles.com/icetoolz-1 ... source=PHG

So much better :-bd
