It was a nice ride (well, day one was).

Do you think anyone will notice the panniers?

Symmetrical MTB rucksacks? I think you have a burgeoning career in marketing ahead of you.

The XTR cranks and that Ti frame are still going strong.

Thanks Colin. I've refined it. Final answer... are they 'gravelsacks', 'made to gravelit', 'engineered to make you go slower'...

Emailed them. This is the response. Seems promising !
Hi Shafiq.

Outdooractive bought the company behind ViewRanger, with the aim of combining the two to make the best possible outdoors app and service. Over the last year we've been working to add the best features of ViewRanger to Outdooractive (for example Buddy Beacon, Skyline, Wear, Challenges), and that continues, with the aim of making Outdooractive the best of both. So we do expect most people will choose to move to Outdooractive over the coming year.

Outdooractive works on a subscription basis. When connect your ViewRanger account to Outdooractive, you'll be given a free period or a voucher based on what you own in ViewRanger. The subscription gives you the whole country, plus numerous other countries, rather than needing to buy separate subscriptions in ViewRanger. The maps are all up to date, updated regularly. And for OS GB, the maps are the high resolution ones, not available in ViewRanger.

But you are welcome to stay using ViewRanger too, it is not stopping.

Here is the getting started guide for ViewRanger users:

Lots of questions are answered here:

  For some reason This Place is definitely verging on hysteria this weekend, what with this ^, pillow bands, Toyah's exercise regime, and goodness knows what else going on.

It's easy to get confused - like when Shewie joined in Here and at first glance I thought his forum name actually was Shewee, which I thought was particularly courageous. Am liking your eye-for-the-ridiculous 'Burner   .

Yes this made amusing Monday morning reading, from most recent post backwards in time, so seeing how we got here from maps

My mum gave me a set of socks with the days of the week written on each pair. What with the usual thing of the washing machine eating socks and others just going walkabout, so you never find any matching pairs anyway, this has just added a whole new layer of confusion

Matching socks-old skool! . My kids think thats so weird and staid. Every 6 months demand a a sock amnesty..(or when every I have no matching paid left). Then my missing socks generally turn up from the kids rooms (teenagers...lol).
If they're not my socks, I put them back on the done washing pile, So the get to the right place eventually. Simples. But, apparently, too big a leap for a teenagers brain..... 'nough said

As a profoundly colour-blind individual, I seem to find it impossible to wear an actual pair of socks. Sometimes, they'll even be different types of sock :-bd

Yep, although I find it's an overrated pastime  . Today's "job" is haranguing Central Beds Council about the cycling infrastructure on the proposal for a new housing development near here.

Saw this and thought of you...more German girls having fun "mansplaying" with ortlieb bags, and inventing the new sport of sledge packing.
