Oh no  Hope you come through it quickly and well.

Early busy morning, bike commute too, so intend to weigh in tomorrow. If we don't end up having a big takeaway tonight

Friday is usually my relaxed eating day after weigh in.

Hadn't weighed myself since June. Just hopped on the scales and 82.2kg which is exactly 1kg down on the last weigh-in but still very much the wrong side of 80! Need to get out on the bike more, and eat less. Sounds simple.

Looks like the scales need a new battery
Each time I got on a different reading (took battery out and back in) each of them also much higher than I'd like

Anyhow I've definitely not eaten anywhere near enough to put on 4 kg this week (one of the higher readings)! Eaten at just below maintenance. But I am feeling pretty heavy and inflamed.

Seem to be going through a lot of cr2032 lately my stocks have gone.

Not a great week; the bionic knee's not been so bionic so little exercise, and stomach issues and fatigue probably due to eating too much bread and wheat.

Pretty sure that minimal loss is entirely due to dark green explosive bowels yesterday

Hoping things settle enough for a ride tomorrow as the forecast is fine....

Oof... my post holiday weigh in is not good.

What's worse is that I only have two weeks before another 5 days of hedonism. Lettuce anyone?

Well I'm on holiday tomorrow evening until next Monday. Got a base in Orkney for four days cycling, though it also means a four days of eating out. And no weigh in this Friday....

Lots of takeaways and beer in the last couple of weeks caused a big weight gain followed by most of it coming off again.

Had a good week. On a 4 day tour so actually weighed myself yesterday. It’ll be interesting to see what 4 days of eating out does to my weight and if I can manage to consume enough beer and ice cream to counteract the mileage (only 40ish a day)

I'm back from my 4 day tour/eating fest in Orkney (408km) and am struggling to get back on track after that and the low mode with high fatigue from both the cycling and lack of sleep. No MFP tracking was going on. Got to say I actually found myself sick of eating sweet stuff on the bike and generally feeling overfull. It's definitely re-kick started some unhealthy cravings that I am determined to stop.

I'll weigh in tomorrow and see where the cards fall, and then carry on....

Missus's birthday weekend in London starts today, I'm fully expecting to come back at 66kg+. Will just have to make sure I'm particularly strict for a few weeks after that!

Holy crap, 1kg a day weight gain. What's really sh*tty about that is that I exercised every day and my diet actually wasn't too bad at all.

I guess that's the issue with going from super strict / not drinking to, normal / drinking.

Dreading weigh in tomorrow as I've had a real crappy couple of weeks since my cycling trip. Was exhausted the first week back and fell in to my usual poor me hole and eating crap. Tried a 100k ride last Sunday which pushed me back down into the hole. Stupid is what I am

Anyway I'll see where the cards fall and take it from there.

Yikes, I have a lot of work to do. What's worse is that I came back from London with a stomach bug so I haven't been able to get back to training.

I went away for a 4 day tour where I ate reasonably well and only had 2 pints - did drink a lot of lemonade though for replenishment. Came home on the Sunday only for the wife and both kids to all get positive LF tests on the monday followed up by positive PCR tests so I've been looking after a fairly sick wife and 2 grouchy kids while trying to work from home and unsurprisingly I tested positive yesterday and got my PCR back today as positive. Ironically while I was away I was careful, wore a mask when almost noone was and took LF tests every day so I wouldn't bring it home and then I come home to a plague house almost certainly due to my youngest where half his year is out at the moment. I foresee more weight gain this week since I won't be able to get out for any exercise. Roll on the 26th.

Moder-dye: yes, you gained a couple of kilos in the last couple of weeks but you have to remind yourself you're still down 15kg on where you started. That's impressive.

RichardG: I know you're a lot more scientific about this than me so curious if your training is all aimed at increasing power / weight ratio while on a diet.

Cheers Paul :-bd
I suspect that's part of the problem, become too blasé, but I need to keep at it and nip this before I'm back up there again!

Bummer about the covid, hopefully you all clear up without too much trauma.

Correct. When peaking (currently set for first week in November) I'll be at my lowest weight and barely holding on to my FTP.

My pre-injury plan was to actually end up at a bit higher weight with a significantly higher power output, but I lost so much muscle mass during hospital / rehab that (sans drug assistance) it would be nigh on impossible.
