New entry here.

Starting point: 95.3kg
Target: 81kg
Still to lose: 14.3kg

Just checked and 15kg is the equivalent to one microwave, 192,308 bees or a wolverine.

It's also the same weight as 750 sushi portions and I don't eat sushi so this should easy...

26/12/2020: 121.7kg
...
30/7/2021: 106kg
7/8/2021:. 105.2kg
13/8/2021: 104.3kg
23/8/2021: 104.8kg
27/8/2021: 104.7kg
17/9/2021: 106.9kg
24/9/2021: 106.5kg

Better than nothing, but I've still been in my black hole with a bad knee after hiking and camping last weekend.
Time to get out of it and HTFU!

3 months to Christmas, sub 100kg by then would be good, 95kg great

09/09/2021 70.0
17/09/2021 70.7
24/09/2021 70.8

I’ll take that as a win after the last week of being ill while coping with two high energy kids at home and a laid low wife all while trying to work a full time job. I also think I might have cracked a rib when I came off my bike the weekend before but with all the COVID shenanigans going to have to wait until Monday to get that checked out.

I've been very unmotivated by much of anything recently but been booze-free for a week now and starting to get out more again so hopefully a corner turned etc...

I'll pop my svelt self on the scales in the morning and see what's what.....

Wish me luck, it may not be pretty!

18/09/21 95.3kg
25/09/21 93.4kg

Still to go: 12.4kg

Think that might have been the easy bit - I know the more I lose the harder it will get to lose more, but we will see.

I'm very glad this thread exists, so thanks for creating and maintaining it.

Yeh good luck all :-bd

You can do it Gairym :-bd

I seem to have got my head back in the game yesterday with sensible eating, even on a Friday, and a little zwift and walk. 0.8kg down this morning, but I know that's essentially the newbie water weight loss, but less weight is less weight where my knees are concerned.

I'm feeling positive now for the 3 months up to Christmas! I'm not a Christmas person, but it seems a good mark in the sand to aim for.

Hi all, sorry there has no post for a while, I have not been in a great place mentally, or physically for that matter, just had a week off work so once I am back into the swing of it I will post up again.

Balls, last weekend went terribly wrong and now I'm going to be miles over my target.

Choice will be between getting as light as possible but being tired, or accepting extra weight / being strong. Crap.

That said, weather looks so bad over the next couple of weeks that I probably wont be able to do the ride anyway due to ground conditions, so may be irrelevant.

Well I guess current weight and not fatigued/drained is the preferable way to go, though isn't there still time to lose a bit without going daft and then carbTFU the day or so before?

Pity if it's off due to weather

Been wild windy and wet here a bit. I'm hoping against hopes it blows out for middle of next week as we've got an already twice delayed airlift booked!

I seem to have got back in the groove, but it's still early days with temptations around.

No, because I'll be doing it unofficially (the week before everyone else). So I've basically got the remainder of this week to lose any weight before tapering to the event.

They wont call it off due to weather, but I'm not taking the risk of a major accident on my own if it's flooded etc.

Have you considered mild sleep aids / melatonin?

I have thought about that before as I have a diagnosed sleeping disorder anyway, periodic limb movement disorder, but after having to spend months getting off the prescribed meds for it (clonazepam) due to issues I'm wary of other medications.

It's not me taking it but melatonin quite literally saved my sanity after months and months of 4 or less hours of sleep every night. We still have the odd blip like this morning where the little darling woke up at 03:30 and was wide awake for the day but that's now a rare occurrence instead of almost every day.

01/01/21: 72.5kg
-------------
Original target hit in May (60kg)
New Target: Sub 63kg (Maintaining)
-------------
17/09/2021: 64.9kg (+2.2kg!)
25/09/2021: 63.6kg (-1.3kg)
*** HOLIDAY ***
01/10/2021: 64.2kg (+0.8kg)
-------------

So my single day weight is now back under 63kg, but as you can see, the 7 day average (what I post up there) is another story.

I'm existing on next to no calories right now and its definitely starting to affect the training sessions (failed my first one in a while last night), that, despite having huge meals a few hours before the session.

That's a shame, but out of interest what does 'next to no calories' amount to and the riding expenditure?

Rough day for me, feels like a cold coming on

02/10/21 93.1kg

Still to go: 12.1kg

Not as bad as I'd expected given the amount of nonsense I've put in my body this week. Need to try harder next week though.
