1/1/21: 117.7kg
8/1/21: 116.8kg

0.9kg (practically 2lbs) down this week after the big pre-official start loss so I’m happy with that. Trying to be sensible enough with food intake that I don’t break and binge, and sensible enough with exercise that I don’t bust and binge on food being tired, achy and fed up.

I'm sticking with 2000cals, but I could have made better food choices to eat more low calorie bulky stuff, but the odd bag of crisps has been savoured more than 3lbs of salad would ever have been

Onwards and downwards!

Start 01/01/21, 97.7kg
Today 15/01/21, 97.7kg

Maintaining again. Excercise levels are ok, eating habits are poor. So happy, but do need to get on with it.

I spend a bit of time worrying that if i lower my calorie intake ill just flop around out of energy as im knackered all the time already...

26/12/2020: 121.7kg
1/1/21: 117.7kg
8/1/21: 116.8kg
15/1/2021: 115.5kg

1.3kg down this week 😁 Still a long way to go though for this big bear.

6.2kg since boxing day! That first week there was obviously a lot of water loss and emptying of the system.

2000-2400 cals a day depending on exercise done and tracking with mfp.

15-01-21 - 114.2kg
08-01-21 - 114.8kg
01-01-21 - 115.4kg

Gently moving in the right direction but not enough being done.

No booze, less crap (though not zero crap) BUT work coupled with the curfew (was 20h now 18h) not really allowing for any exercise at the minute - crap!

I'll keep at it.....

So.....I had a little look through the previous Fat Fighters threads and it appears I'm not very good at losing weight but fairly handy at putting it on :-bd

With a little luck (a lot of sensible choices and no small amount of restraint) I've turned a corner with last years bigger loss.

31/12/2020 76.5
8/1/2021 75.1
15/1/2021 74.1

According to MFP I should only be losing 0.5kg a week so my numbers are off somewhere. I did have a drink this week, albeit only the one, I've cut out most of the snacks but allowing myself a small chocolate ration, two if I do exercise, seems to be working. All bar one main meal this week has coincidentally been vegetarian so not sure if that's making a difference.

I find I lose weight faster without meat BUT I do find I run low on energy too.

I also find that any weigh-in within 24-36 hours of a big meaty meal has me up as I think it's all just sat there digesting slowly...

No idea if it's true, but I have read that we can have 3-4kg of meat going through the digestive system very slowly. One thing about weighing yourself on Fridays is that I've learnt to avoid a big roast / barbeque / takeaway on a Thursday to make the numbers look better

I'll have another crack at this this year... poor show last year!
115.2kg - 1.1.2021
114.5kg - 8.1.2021
113.2kg - 15.1.2021

Oh yeah Goals... same as Gairy from roughly the same starting point this year
Post by gairym » Fri Jan 01, 2021 2:12 pm
1st goal: at least 1kg loss each month (ideally much more)
2nd goal: be under 100kg by the end of the year.
Final goal: get down to 95kg and then stay between 95-100kg forever and live happily ever after.....
Was 84kg when I was climbing a lot and a few years ago got down to 96kg successfully so I know it's achievable if I am consistent in approach and I know what works for me (sort of!)

Not had a good couple of weeks, but I am feeling stronger than when I started. I need my snack game has improved, I still need portion control.

22-01-21 - 114.3kg
15-01-21 - 114.2kg
08-01-21 - 114.8kg
01-01-21 - 115.4kg

No surprise there's no loss this week as I've been up against a project deadline so eating has been a snatch and grab affair when time has allowed.

Been a bit more active too.

Managed to get out twice on the splitboard and one turbo (evil misery!) session.

No complaints, mostly behaving and on target for 1kg loss for the month.

Small loss this week - similar calorie intake and exercise as last week but much higher meat content. Hohum, onwards and downwards so to speak.

Is there room to squeeze in another 90kg. Since March last year I've been the carer for an elderly parent and between that, work and everything else that's going on things have literally gone pear shaped. There's been an increase in weight but disturbingly what was there already has moved about and is now in places it shouldn't be. So long term want to drop 10kg but want to also get back to a healthier lifestyle.

When did splitboards become a thing? I've not been snowboarding since 2008 or so but don't remember them being around then, or at least not at my novice level.

111.1kg - 22.01.2021

Slow steady progress so far and feeling much better for it. Aiming to be back under 110kg next week but I suspect the hard yards come soon!
