Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone has ever played a multi-scale guitar? The fanned frets are something I'm not familiar with.
Thanks!

Never seen or heard of that before so I feel qualified to comment.
It appears to have seven strings, 23.5 frets, with scale length not stated. How many octaves can you get?
Looks like an electric version of a Brahms Guitar except the Brahms has eight strings and played vertically like a cello.

Feels a bit niche - like 650b wheels.

Zazen - nothing happens next this is it.

I heard they make the chords come alive
I play classical I have nothing productive to add to the debate

Yeah it's a 7 string though the fanned frets are available on 6 - x
Its apparently to help with intonation and hand posotion, tuned normal, or also for baritone guitars
It kinda makes sense to me the way your hand naturally goes and I'd be super keen to try it, granted I can't really go and try it anywhere right now. I'd be happy to take a punt at it though. I mostly play drop c stuff and acoustic. I started looking at Western style acoustics or semi electric (as most acoustics with cutaway appear to be semi electric and I'd like it to have a cutaway so it's different from my current acoustic. This is what led me to consider a new electric... As well.
I have had an 8 string, but it wasn't for me.

That is like getting bigger suspension because you have poor technique on drops
As you note i think you would need to play one to see - I suspect it will take a bit of adjustment initially.
How much are they - bearing in mind I have no idea how much decent electric costs anyway

They can start rather cheap. Decent brands Esp Ltd, Jackson, Ibanez etc are about 7-900 new. Maybe 5-600 second hand. But I'd rather a new one.
This is a spanner in the works as I'm certainly getting an acoustic first if I ever sell the surplus bike stuff I have, but I'd think it would be a nice addition... Maybe.

Not played one...very happy with normal fretting on my Schecter. Get a Parker and don't look back. I'd trade my Omen6 'and' Les Paul in a flash for a nice Parker Fly from the 90's. Currently settling for the poor mans version - 2004 Hornet.
