A new and (more affordable) pack raft

Neris Kayak's https://neriskayaks.com/?l=en

Have moved into pack rafting with 2 models.

The one above is been sent to me "to test" against my PVC heavy duty Kokopelli White Water pack raft to see how it compares.

The front of this BigFun model looks large enough for a bike and gear to be mounted to be out of your way of your feet and legs.
The down side of this one is that it's made of a heavy duty PVC and needs a foot pump to blow it up to high pressures than a standard TPU pack raft.
So this will only be for car or van pack rafting, as the bag it comes with will be too big for bike with (for too far)
But for the basic open deck model for £400 it's one hell of a great starting price,
TPU may be around 20 to 30% more I would guess.
All are made in the Ukraine in the same place that they have made their folding kayaks for years.
Stock will be held here in the UK by Simon at https://neris.co.uk/

In the new year they are going to make them out of the much lighter and smaller to pack TPU materials, but as these will be blown up to lower pressures I'm not sure if it will be too flexible to carry a bike.

Time will tell, watch this space if you are thinking of pack rafting with bikes in 2021 when this madness is over

Is the deck held in place with velcro John?
May the bridges you burn light your way

There are 3 options
Basic - open raft
EXP - as above with as you spotted with velco so it can be used or left at home in calmer conditions
WW - complete spray deck fitted in the factory

As I said these are a heavy bulky PVC, the TPU ones will be interesting next year.
The Just Fun (sh!te name) WW is also coming and I can't wait to try that one out, but it's only for paddlers under 5'9" as it's really dinky
