Got some 16 degree release cleats for the Crank Bros pedals. They were cheapest option for original equipment. Todays ride found me really needing to... well, rotate 16 degrees to release. Its a long way when you're about to fall into a pile of mud.
Anyone able to shed some light as to why someone would invent such a thing and if you ever get faster at releasing. Might need to remove em and count my losses then buy some lesser rotation option.
Thoughts... please... thanks

Some folk want more "float" - the ability to change foot angle - without releasing. Handy if you have dodgy knees or just want to shuffle around a bit.
They do a Zero degree option too (or at least they used to).

These have 5 or 6 degrees of float Colin... But from 6 to 16 degrees release, its an awfully long way (or thats how it felt on this first ride out with em).ScotRoutes wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:55 pm Some folk want more "float" - the ability to change foot angle - without releasing. Crash more violently - that will achieve the desired angle
