Peloton worth more than Ford

Just seen on a GCN youtube vid that Peloton is now worth more than Ford, $40 billion and $30 billion.

I know plenty of people who drive Fords, I've had four myself, but I don't know anyone with a Peloton.

Might well end up being another tech bubble company, but it does have revenues of not far off $1billion pa and their sales and share price have rocketed in lockdown.

A mate's just paid £2595 for the all singing all dancing one and got it delivered today. His response when asked how it was:

I think they are like Uber. Burning millions each week in the hope they can stay afloat while all the alternatives go to the wall. I'm sure Ford aren't a super sound investment but at least if they went pop you'd have some assets to sell on.

Without getting too much into the nitty gritty of it, investors blummin' love subscription models that gather loads of data whilst providing a pretty robust service.

I get it, think about all the people that go to spin classes in the gym. Now tell them they can do it from home with similar motivations. It's not for me, but I understand the audience.

I have to say (and it's very much a personal view) I can't help thinking that the benefits of exercise are perhaps diminished by taking it inside? Hey but what do I know, it's not like this place is worth more than Ford
