BB200 - there's still time.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Entries will close on Friday, so anyone keen still has time. Here's a little taster of what lies in store ... sadly the 300 falls just short of an everest

Every bb200 has had around 5000m if climbing. Certainly don’t assume it’s an easy ride

This is last year's 300.

https://strava.app.link/Tn9QOihv19

Scotland might have bigger mountains but in Wales they are steeper*, so for the same a distance you'll do more climbing.

As for hike-a-bike, I did more pushing on the Cairngorms Loop than both the BB300s combined**

* Applicable to the routes we ride anyway

** That's not an invitation for Stu to increase the pushing

If you're going to do it any year, then this is definitely the one.

Pick when you do it, when you start, where you start... should be fantastic.

Only downer? No toast at the end. :(

Less than 200km too.

Is this an "easy year"? 🤔

Contrary to how it might look, there is nothing spiteful in there and nothing added for 'effect'. In fact, I even avoided some of the 'worst' bits in order to give everyone a well deserved lovely time. :-bd

Wouldn't that be way too far North? From what Stu was saying, it would be more South. Twmpa perhaps?

Thanks Stu. I'm sure everyone will be most appreciative of your efforts of keeping it nice once they've completed it

There's a couple of rastas near my office who ride round Hulme on E-unicycles. They look terrifying tbh.

I'd give one a go over 200km of tussocks in the name of research though. See you at the start line. :-bd

Yeah, weird haircut

Back on subject.

Well I've entered. Should be fun so long as the whole of South Wales doesn't go into full lockdown. From the "hints" and profile I've an idea of where it's likely to go. Will see tomorrow when the GPX drops
