St Pierre Belgian Abbey Blonde

Very nice. But it's 6.2% abv and it's a 750ml bottle...

Smells and tastes of bananas.
Tallisker Dark Storm.

One of those malts I love. Complex, every naunce of it well balanced, cheap, but today...
Over the years I must have drank 4 bottles by myself and I've never sensed banana flavour in it, but tonight I'm having this little adventure coming from a dram.
Lovely.

These last two nights after work I've been enjoying a couple of select cans of crafty loveliness from the likes of Cloudwater, Verdant, Northern Monk and few others...

Quality not quantity.

I was just in there*. :-bd

(*No jalapeños - that's my dinner plan scuppered!)

Mont Blanc brewery are not my bag at all but that's the beauty of beer - there's a flavour to suit everyone (and tea for those who don't indulge).

That was half price two summers ago in the supermarket in the shopping precinct, that was a good holiday

Also quite the fan of the Canadian micro brewery and then head off for a hockey game...

Honey and sesame halloumi with jalapeño yogurt and tabbouleh - whallop!

We've had some fun nights in the BMC, usually followed by a drunken swagger back to the campsite at mer de glace.

I like that pull your own pint place next to the bike shop on the main street, that was a good find last year

O/O Brewing (0/0?)
50/50 Chinook/Citra IPA, 6.5%
Super sweet and juicy IPA from Sweden with a nice sharp grapefruity finish.

Is that Chinook/Citra one of the Aldi jobbies? Must admit I do partake of their 99p 'craft' tins which are somewhat of a bargain: 'Freak Aleworks Phantom', ''Buckhorn Stateside', 'Ghost Dance', etc stacked up in the drinks cellar (*).

Don't tell anyone though or I'll get my Waitrose Loyalty Card summarily chopped up.

Innes & Gunn tonight for Reg, none of that colonial dishwater.

(*) drinks cellar: picture something in Frankenstein's castle....

Reg, it's one of a number of expensive craft beers I've picked up for an evening of rule of six.

Next up is "Mornings on Mission Bay" from Alefarm. Slightly less juicy, a bit more hazy.
