I'm resting up at the moment. Which is handy because there's an hour's wait for free beer!!!!!!!! And I don't even like lager. But I do like free.

Finally in! Purchase successful.

"This is a planet-first recipe - brewed with surplus bread, using 1/3 less water, powered by BrewDog wind turbines and for every pack, we plant a tree in the BrewDog LOST forest. A mind-blowingly delicious, crisp taste with stone-fruit notes, this is lager like it should be, with an extra dose of feel good"

Very worthy. I feel all warm inside. Albeit bloody freezing outside. On with the ride.

A nice west coast IPA: something orange and bitter seemed appropriate for tonight

Since making this joke I've seen that Nigella Lawson essentially made the same joke. Not sure what that says about me (or NIgella) but I'm not suggesting she copied me, and I certainly didn't copy her.

Thornbridge's Florida Weisse, a 'hazy raspberry sour' which looks like a glass of red diesel with a head

It's refreshing sour which I like, luckily.

I'm not drinking it now but I did drink it when it was brewed 30 years ago. Mate of mine won the new beer name competition at Banks & Taylors. He called it 2XS.

2XS.... "What are you drinking then?"... 2XS.... yeh? ... "ohh please yourselves" .

 Very good!

It's the Yorkshire accent that really makes that one work as well. Hmm. Or Lancastrian? Oh lordy, deep water.

Yes, Lancastrian. So my comment doesn't work after all, apologies 'Burner  .

Oh gawd, might even be Cheshire.

Very deep water.

Goes off to ring my mate Mel in Diggle to check the situation. Or bizarrely our very own Chew (Reservoir)! Or even Mr Bowerclough.. aka Brian Wilde-rness.. only that beautiful OS map can help us now....
