Safety features!

I've received a recall letter for the car this morning ... "the passenger airbag cylinder may be over pressurised. In the event of an accident, should it go off, there is a chance that the canister may disintergrate and send metal fragments through the airbag and into the cabin".
They could have simply said "mind how you go, we've fitted a grenade behind the dashboard".

Got that letter last year for a 2004 Honda Accord. That wording encouraged me to make an appointment with the garage immediately

I suppose on balance, your better knowing than not knowing. At least you can now choose which front seat passenger to perforate.....

Surely this is only an issue if you bump into something? Solve the problem by just driving everywhere in reverse gear.

I once read that the best safety feature for a car would be a 9 inch sharpened steel spike sticking out of the centre of the steering wheel. Drivers would make sure they didn’t hit anything with one of those fitted.

Lovely idea.
Mine always seem too extreme. This is more mellow.

There's a similar theory for car alarms...
