Hilleberg material 'goodie bags'.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Thought I'd post this here as it's quite useful and I'd hate for someone to miss it.

Hilleberg, those people who make tents also sell what I can best describe as material goodie bags. They're off cuts from their factory but very useful for the sew your own fingers together MYOGers. I've had one arrive this morning and it contains 4 x outer tent fabric, 2 x inner fabric and 4 x zips of differing types and lengths. Each piece of material is at least 3m long. They use 'Kerlon' fabric for outers which is reportedly top notch.

Anyway, a bag will set you back £30 posted. You can't pick and choose but you'll get some quality materials for not much money.

Very interesting thanks Stu,

I assume its all shelter type material, rather than frame bag type material. I know theres a grey area a mile wide there but roughly speaking...?

One could make a goodie bag out of it...
