Tyvek for groundsheet

Post by mikejd »

I know Tyvek is sold as a house wrap. I have a part roll of Rubberoid Rubershield Pro wrap. Is this the same thing? Or can it be used as a groundsheet?

Looks like it would be fine for a ground sheet if it isn’t too slippery and packs/folds well enough.
If you are going through hell, keep going.

its 142 per square m where as tevek is 90 g but yes its water proof so will work
I advise ,if its slippy, some silicone dots for your mat to not slide off You can put themon the mat - I dont do this but think its fine iirc- or on the groundsheet which i prefer as its cheaper if it goes wrong - which is unlikely.
