Ditto, having spent a great deal of time in and around Lampeter, I love the southern Cambrians.

I probably shouldn't bother asking, but will the route be suitable for those of use who run slightly skinnier tyres and drop bars...?

That's great, thanks Stu, will dump it roadside somewhere then! Can't wait.

sub standard!

I forgot it was today!!

Edit:
Actually, the tickets are not yet live. There's no limit on numbers as far as I'm aware as it's no group start. Just a Gpx file is mailed to you.

Edit 2:

Could be wrong.

It was showing sold out at 08:35 when I looked. Even on a normal year with the numbers restriction that would be quick to sell out. I'm hoping that's the case.

Don't panic ... we've had zero connection for the last 7 days. It's just come back on 5 minutes since so hopefully entries will open this evening but I'm trying to now sort out a 200+ emither and message backlog. However, there's no limit on entries this year so no need to panic.

Last year Jase had a CX bike and I still don't know how he managed what I almost struggled with on my 2.6 650b tires!! So if you're good at CXing your gravel bike then I'd say it'd be a yay. Only one way to find out!

I done it on drops and 2 inch tyres. Next time mtb and a dropper.

Wondered about you too to be fair Al.. But concluded that you're all hard nutters or like the extra pain. Enjoyed my Sonder Transmitter. Compliments the chef (Niel at Alpkit I believe... for the frame)

Yeah. I'll never ride anything like that on drops again  saying that, I never had a choice last October.

Both events I singed up to do this year were cancelled, plus I couldn't make the WRT. Itching to do something a bit more organised, but only have the gravel bike. Not sure I fancy 36 hours of type three fun...

If that's all you have, it's the right bike. Do it. You'll regret it otherwise.

I must be insane, but I'm in.

Descending is going to be the biggest issue for me, I'm going to lose huge amounts of time vs normal. I guess that might be offset by having a chance of my tyres actually staying inflated for the whole ride?

Time to lose some weight, and quickly!

You'll never have the correct bike Bob because the variation in terrain means it doesn't exist. As the miles tick away then comfort will become a priority, so you'll know whether your bike can fill that role.

We were planning on being in the UK over the BB dates this year but obviously the zombie apocalypse has scuppered things a tad.

So.....I'm thinking I'll plot something very loosely similar (distance-wise at least) and do it between those dates in order to at least feel like I'm a tiny bit taking part.

Any chance of a vague alt. gain figure Stu so that I can plot something suitably evil???

Good luck one and all.....
