Anyone ever used Ribz for riding?
I've got a Ribz pack a bit like in the picture but I've never really thought about using it for riding until now. I'm thinking that with the contents easily at hand it could be useful. Could be a bit warm for summer but maybe provide some relief from the wind in winter?
Anyway, just wondered if anyone had tried before I bother.

I have a bum bag and whilst you can turn it to get stuff whilst cycling along . However the reality is that leaving it there impares your pedalling, is uncomfortable and the weight hangs of you rather than rests on you
I dont think it would be that usefull tbh - stick to the socks

These sit much higher than a bum bag Jon.

It's not far off a back to front wingnut by the looks of it...i'd prefer stuff on hips and (lower)back personally. I've got a second hand wingnut i'll be trying out next time I manage a bivvy, seems like it'd save a couple of strap on bags whilst still being comfy on the back and shoulders....but then i've never minded carrying a pack of some kind.

When you find you hate it, and you will, let me know and I'll give it a good home ;-)

Running vests. Some come with a crazy amount of pockets at the front. Only issue, if you fill them well, they get quite uncomfy for mtb'ing.Bearbonesnorm wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 5:59 pm I'm thinking that with the contents easily at hand it could be useful.
But for a specific type of riding I indeed find the easy access to food, camera, gloves, torch etc. quite usefull. Be it with bags on the hip belt of a lightweight rucksack or trail vest or just a hip bag.
