My Wahoo Dies 3 Days Before YD300!

Post by Escape Goat »

Has anyone had this before? I was going to use this on the YD300 this year - looks like a battery issue. Has anyone got any ideas??

Thanks

Dont worry Allen. Yes. I've had this issue. Google how to restart/hard reset it and leave it on charge overnight with the trickleist charger you have. Basically what you've done is let it drain right down to the core and now you've been chsrging it but keep trying to switch it on in impatiently...

Allow it some time (like we all do sometimes) and after a good few hours of charging it'll realise it wants to live. If it helps, give it a short sharp blow aswell with your fist like a hammer. Might help give it a little shock ( )...

Anyway... Im confident the reset once its started charging proper will sort it all out. If not you're welcome to borrow mine! Lemme know wahoos... Best things since sliced bread (deep fried off course)...

NB. That picture is actually telling you what I just said. I only realised that it was telling me that after I'd resuscitated it (not with a short sharp blow). Amazing really matey...

Haha. I'll take it to work and try a hard reset and a good charge!! I don't think your computer would get here in time if I was to accept

Edit: loaner computer on the way for tomorrow from Wahoo.

As per above, Wahoo doesn't like the battery being drained right down, if you leave it plugged in overnight it should be fine, if it still doesn't fire up then reset.

None of that worked, but at least I have a loaner on the way.

Yeah been on the phone to the rep today and he's sending me a spare loaner. They've told me how to charge it and not to use an iPhone charger. I've been using a 5v 2a charger (the correct one actually by chance).
