Oex Xenon Ultra is a 217 gram down jacket. I love mine!!
(it's the one in MattPages video of his around Wales trip)
And a lot cheaper than £200, if you can find one - I think they may have stopped making them now
Think it was £80!
Absolute bargain. Really light and packable. Goes into its own pocket, although still has a bit of loft even then, so for a short trip it will stuff down much smaller. Plus it has pockets! The lighter PHD ones I don't think they do, nor a full zip.
Not sure if its made any more. I know stock was low when I got mine at the start of the year.

I think I have been under-matted at times which hasn't helped. On my Neoair xlite I'm much warmer than on the Klymit X frame. I also don't take a ferret
No-one takes a ferret, but sometimes you get lucky and one decides to keep you company

And a 250 with hooded jacket will be warmer still

Nah,
£125 for a hooded MH Ghost Whisperer Mk2 at 219g!
Thanks. Yep - I've gone for one of those Ghost Whisperer jackets

I do tend to have at least a gilet with me or a hooded synthetic jacket for cooler trips. I like a down bag but prefer synthetic for jackets as it means you can wear it when riding when it's cold and wet. Doing that has saved me a couple of times so I don't mind the bigger packs size. I've had an Arcteryx Nuclei for about six years now which is a brilliant jacket.

What are you guys using for your legs when sleeping. I'm fed up sleeping in bibs and leg warmers.
Merino tights? If so any recomendations?

Pair of baselayer tights for me. I use under armour ones, very light and comfy but also stretchy so they fit my legs (34" inside leg)

Any old base layer leggings or tights. I find cold feet really affect how well I sleep so often have a spare pair of socks. HYOH

I got some of these for when I'm in delicate company. Uhm, an additional 30% off too.

I'm just trying to envisage what that situation would be

Surely you know after 3 years Here that EVERY thread degenerates (well I would say 'advances' personally
) into either a/ comments about Stu's cheery disposition, or b/ how rubbish Se@lskins are, or c/ the bizarre things that come through Stu's letterbox, or d/ how fetching Mike looks in 'his' underwear. Long may it continue.
