Bealach Horn loop?

as a loop from west merkland round to achfary, how good would the bealach horn be?


doing a highlands road trip and we want to take in some unmissable bits

Not on your tourers Tony. The bit round the back would be too tough for me. Lots of bog pushing, a river crossing and a hefty climb up to the Bealach.

I meant to say.. consider the Hope - Altnaharra - Tongue loop. It's all road but completely worthwhile.

Colin, think we may be on mtb's now. i may do it myself.
and i will have a look at that other loop.

Direct route from Lone to Gobernuisgach lodge is a much easier prospect

I wouldn't Ton. Much better stuff up there. There'd be a high proportion of pushing and the main one is a beast.

thanks gents. plans altered now. mrs has reminded me that this is gonna be a leisurely trip and she aint pushing up no mountains......... :lol:
