So, I’ve converted my gravelnobberthing to 1x and therefore I have the left shifter not used. Obviously the brake is in use.
It’s a Shimano 105, 2019 or 2020 ish.
It rattles. Presumably as there’s no cable tension on there so there’s lose mechanisms in there.
Has anyone else had this and fixed the rattle?
It’s not too loud, just there

Sounds like you need a mechanical engineer mate.

105 shifters, the rattle is a design feature
Also, I managed to get an autocorrect typing the above that came up with “Pithecanthropus“

Fixed / Bodged.
Its actually the two prongs that point forwards that activate the shifting that rattle rattle. I've popped a little strip of duct tape round it which goes under the hood rubber. Barely noticeable to see the tape, but silence on the trails
