Goldilocks jersey

Post by Pippin »

Evening all.

Wondering if I could tap into the collective as my googling is proving woefully inadequate

I’m looking for a top for multi day trips which meets the following criteria:
-non stinky for myself and others (bamboo or merino?)
-short sleeve, I’d break out arm warmers in cooler weather
-reasonably lightweight summer friendly (120 weight ish)
-semi fitted, not roadie, not downhill flappy, sorta fitted T-shirt
-a zip instead of crew would be nice
-back pockets would be vaguely exciting

Any recommendations?

Many thanks

I’d say this ticks most of those boxes -

I’ve got one that’s about 6 years old, still my default choice for multi day rides

Torm merino roadie jersey. Can be slim or loose fit depending on sizing. I'm on my second and they are really good.

Polaris have this on sale at the moment, I fancy one myself but have already exceeded my toy budget this month.

I love a merino jersey, so have ones from Endura, Alpkit and Torn, but by far the best one i've had in terms of durability and fit is a Specialized RBX one, not sure if they make them anymore, but a few on ebay new:

Pair that with Morvelo Overland v1 bib shorts with the pockets in rear of shorts is my perfect set-up now.

Also worth looking on Sports Pursuit, lot of Vulpine and Isadore merino gear on there at present
