Borders 350 Best Time Smashed.

Alex Pilkington has completed the Borders 350 in approximately 2 days, 8 hours, 25 minutes beating the previous best time by over 15 hours. He started near Langholm rather than Peebles at 16.15 hours on Sunday, rode for a straight 32 hours, rested for 6 hours then carried on to the finish coming in at about 00.40 Wednesday morning.

Previous best. - 72 hours, 10 minutes.

He originally intended to do the 220 but in his own words said he felt good and was enjoying it so much that at the crossroads decided to do the 350 instead. If he'd started at Peebles this would not be possible as the routes diverge immediately.
