Barmouth Viaduct upgrading

Post by JohnClimber »

Info here for the 3 year plan to restore the Barmouth Viaduct which I'm sure many Bear Bones riders have ridden over.

Thanks for highlighting that John - excellent news. Critically important to locals and bikepackers alike.

And for you (well, and me TBH), is that it maintains fast access to...... Weigh Out!! :-bd

Rode across in March on my last big trip. It was certainly a highlight... even though it was like 9pm and pitch black. I did have this odd sense of dread of it being closed for the last hour before I got there. No reason to really but I guess with at that point on day 2 with 195km in my legs from that day alone I really didn't want to have to go back around the long way.
